If you’re a fan of Kyte Baby’s cozy bamboo sleepwear, there’s an important update you should know about. The brand has recently issued a recall on its popular Slumber Suits due to non-compliance with federal flammability standards for children’s sleepwear. Approximately 20,500 Slumber Suits are affected and may pose a fire risk if exposed to an open flame.
Although no injuries have been reported, Kyte Baby urges families to take action. Here’s what you need to know to keep your child safe and the steps to take if you own a recalled suit.
How to know if your slumber suit is affected
If you have a Kyte Baby Slumber Suit, here’s what to check:
- Sizes recalled: Medium (M), Large (L), and Extra Large (XL)
- Colors: Midnight, Taro, Slate, Sage, Blush, Cloud, Alpine Village, Crepe, Racoon, Jurassic, Eucalyptus, Blue Heron, Cloud Poppies, Haze, Midnight Poppies, and Coastline

Important safety information
Federal regulations require children’s sleepwear to either contain flame retardants or be tight-fitting to reduce fire risks. Although Kyte Baby’s Slumber Suits are classified as wearable blankets and thus fall outside these regulations, Kyte Baby recommends discontinuing their use entirely—even for daytime wear.
Kyte Baby has confirmed that its Sleep Bag Walker style is not part of this recall. If you own a similar item not listed in the recall but want to confirm, please contact Kyte Baby. Additionally, Kyte Baby has stated on their Facebook page that they do not plan to reintroduce the Slumber Suit style in the future.
No reported injuries, but safety comes first
Although there are no reported injuries, Kyte Baby is taking proactive steps to reach out to all affected customers. This recall serves as a reminder of the importance of staying informed about product safety.
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), sleepwear for babies should be snug-fitting or made from flame-retardant materials. The AAP recommends well-fitted sleep sacks or wearable blankets that align with safe sleep guidelines, creating a secure sleep environment for your baby.
Following these recall guidelines is an important step to ensure your little one’s safety—and your peace of mind.
