Höllentalklamm in Grainau, Germany

Höllentalklamm

Deeply cut into the high mountains, the Hammersbach torrent plunges over boulders and falls from foam over rocky ledges into pools.

Difficult sections lead through electrically lit tunnels filled with a dull roar. The air is fresh and clear with every breath, especially during the summer. The rocky gorge is easily accessible, less than a mile long, and offers a completely different charm than other gorges and ravines.
