Former Supercars driver Paul Weel sells Southern Highlands estate for $7.35 Million

The 4-hectare estate in NSW, known as Stables on Songline, was listed last September with a guide of $7.85 million.

The property includes a 450 sqm four-bedroom home, with a fifth bedroom set up as a self-contained loft studio.

The residence features a dual-wing floor plan and was extensively styled by Emma Weel in collaboration with Sue Robbie of Natural Fibres Studio and Zig n Dot, focusing on new wall coverings, textiles, and soft furnishings.

The master bedroom includes a stained glass-style window with origins linked to a former residence of Saint Mary MacKillop.

The home opens via stacker doors to an alfresco terrace complete with an outdoor kitchen and open fireplace.

A single garage adjoins the house, while a separate 270 sqm barn provides further vehicle accommodation.

Realestate.com.au reported the property’s equestrian facilities were put to good use by the Weels’ daughter Abbey, a competitive dressage rider.

The grounds include four barns with stables, wash bays, shelters, a tack room, and an Olympic-sized dressage arena.

The Weels acquired Stables on Songline in 2022. In May 2024, they purchased Highground in Bowral for $14.5 million following its renovation by Tom and Emma Lane.

Prior to their Southern Highlands move, the Weels were high-profile owners in Queensland.

They sold their Mermaid Beach home to billionaire Clive Palmer for $16.95 million, and offloaded a 40-hectare Gilston equestrian property in 2023 for $5.4 million after purchasing it for $7 million in 2020.
